KING, N.C. — Five outstanding pet-sitting business owners have been named top finalists for Pet Sitters International’s (PSI) 2026 Pet Sitter of the Year® Award, the highest accolade in the professional pet-care industry.
Pet Sitters International, the world’s leading educational association for professional pet sitters and dog walkers, proudly announces the following finalists who will advance to the next round of judging:
These finalists will now submit additional documentation detailing their business practices, community engagement, pet-care training, marketing strategies, and verification of a clear criminal history as part of the rigorous judging process.
“The 2026 Pet Sitter of the Year will exemplify the professionalism, expertise, and dedication that continue to elevate the pet-sitting industry worldwide,” said PSI President Beth Stultz-Hairston. “Each of these finalists demonstrates exceptional care, ethical business practices, and a deep commitment to both pets and their communities.”
She added, “Choosing just one winner from this remarkable group will be no easy task.”
Since 1995, PSI has honored one exemplary pet-sitting business owner annually with the Pet Sitter of the Year title. Finalists are evaluated based on client and professional references, commitment to quality care and professionalism, contributions to their local communities and the industry, and dedication to ongoing education.
