Cap

a little about me

Once upon a time, the cutest little puppy was born—yep, that’s me, Cap! I was so adorable that someone decided to bring me home, and my journey as a pet began. My days were filled with playful antics, eating, sleeping, and, of course, pooping. After about a year, I found myself in a rescue group for reasons I can’t quite recall. Luckily, it wasn’t long before I was adopted again, thanks to my undeniable cuteness!

I spent around three wonderful years in my second home, but we eventually had to part ways because I’m not a fan of children, and they had two! Kids make me a bit nervous, which sometimes leads to nipping. I do love adults, though, so I’m looking for a kid-free home.

Now, I’m being fostered by Yorkie Haven Rescue, and I’m doing great! I adore my foster mom, but I definitely have a soft spot for men—when foster dad is around, it’s all about him! I love being the center of attention, seeking out cuddles and snuggles. I can be a bit clingy, often found following my foster mom around the house.

There are two other furry friends here. I love playing with one of them who has a fuzzy tail, just like mine! The other pup is a bit more delicate; I can be a little rough, so we don’t play together as often. I would thrive with one sturdy dog who enjoys playtime and doesn’t mind me stealing most of the human attention. If I find a home without other dogs, my owners will need to be committed to playtime.

I am truly a lap dog at heart. If you’re ready for all-day Yellowstone marathons, I’m your perfect companion. I might sneak in kisses here and there, but they’re not messy, I promise! My tail is always wagging when I’m with my people. I love being groomed, brushed, and bathed—basically, any attention you give me is a win. If you’re not keen on having a shadow following your every move, then I might not be the dog for you.

Toys are another must-have for me! If you have a strong throwing arm, I’d be thrilled if you tossed toys for me to chase all day. I’m quite agile and can easily jump on the sofa or use the stairs to get into bed at night. Oh, and speaking of beds, I expect to sleep there with you! If my foster mom isn’t keen on that, I have a cozy blanket just for me.

When the house is empty, I have the freedom to roam, and I’m doing well with my doggy diaper on. When everyone’s home, I expertly use the doggy door. I enjoy keeping watch from the back of the chair, ready to protect the backyard. Just a heads-up—I love to chase falling leaves, bark at the sun, and howl at the moon. I might seem full of energy, but I’m sensitive to noises and will bark at anything that catches my attention. Over time, I’m getting better at adjusting to the usual household sounds.

I do get a little timid with sudden noises like the vacuum or a new garbage bag. If I feel threatened or startled, I might dash through the doggy door. Though I come across as confident, I have a gentle heart.

I think I’ve shared all my traits, quirks, needs, and preferences. You can see from my picture that I’m quite handsome! So, ask yourself if you’re ready for the most dedicated best friend you could ever find.
