Ella

a little about me

6/26/25:  Ella was discovered wandering the streets. When her rescuer found her, she was covered in fleas and burrs, and her nails were very long. She patiently endured three to four hours of care as they removed the fleas and burrs. She was not microchipped, and her owner could not be located. The family who found her absolutely loved her, but she was not the right fit for their household.

Ella is young and extremely playful. She enthusiastically wants to play with anyone willing—whether it’s a cat or a dog—and is also very affectionate with people, delighting in giving lots of kisses. She has excellent house training, going outside primarily, but she’s also comfortable using a pee pad indoors if needed. She is friendly with both strangers and other animals, and her curiosity leads her to explore and sniff everything new.

Ella enjoys relaxing on the couch with her family and sleeps well in bed. She is quite good on a leash, though she sometimes pulls. She’s attentive and will turn her head when listening to you. When corrected or told no, she may pout or act upset, as if she’s a little hurt—she’s quite sensitive and understands instructions well.

Ella is truly a wonderful puppy. She would thrive in a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard to keep her safe and secure.
