Amber and Emma are bonded, affectionate terrier mixes who would love to be adopted together (they can be adopted separately if a home already has a friendly dog). They came from the same home and have been in the same foster home for a long time — they’re very close and thrive together.
Personality
- Loving, gentle, and affectionate — both give lots of kisses.
- Amber is the more submissive and sensitive of the two: eager to please, quick to learn her name, comes when called, and adores attention and belly rubs. She can be startled by loud noise and does best without young children.
- Emma is confident and spirited; together they balance each other nicely.
- Both are well-liked by everyone who meets them for their sweet, calm demeanor, though they will show terrier traits when needed.
Household Habits
- - Potty-trained: will use pee pads and go outside regularly.
- Good with other calm dogs; would do well with at least one other dog in the home.
- Not good with cats — they have a strong prey drive and should be in a cat-free household.
- Quick and curious — care needed around open doors and yards.
- Grooming: tolerate baths and grooming with some patience; weekly at-home care is fine.
- Sleeping habits: enjoy getting in the human bed for snuggles but may move to the sofa or dog beds at night; Amber often prefers multiple sleeping spots.
