June 26, 2025 Nupe is a very loving and affectionate little boy who craves your attention and love. He is full of kisses and even enjoys nibbling on your ear. House training has gone well, and he loves to do his business outside. Nupe adores cuddling on your lap and sleeping in bed with you.
He is best suited to a home with female dogs or as the only dog, as he has shown protective behavior towards people and female dogs when other male dogs are around.
April 14, 2025 — Nupe (pronounced Noop) and Quba (Kooba) are brothers who came to YHR together. Their owner had to give them up because he was working two jobs and faced increasing pet fees from his landlord, leaving him with less time for his beloved dogs. Both are joyful, loving, and eager for attention.
Nupe has some health considerations: he has ear infections in both ears, with some scarring from past infections. He also has a past injury—at age 2, he jumped from a one-story balcony and hurt his right hip. He underwent surgery, and though he sometimes drags that foot while walking, he doesn’t seem to be in pain or discomfort.
Nupe is scheduled for neutering and a dental cleaning. Once these procedures are complete, he will be ready to find his new loving home.
