My name is Charlie, and I’m eagerly looking for a forever home to ring in the New Year! On New Year’s Day, I will be seven months old. Just two months ago, I was living in a rundown shed, neglected and alone as the last of my litter. Life was tough, and I never knew when my next meal would come.
But then, a kind-hearted lady heard about me and rescued me from that dreadful situation. She took me in, gave me a warm bath, plenty of food, and showered me with love and attention, which was completely new for me. Although I was a bit scared at first, her compassion helped me to feel safe. She couldn’t keep me herself but connected me with Yorkie Haven Rescue to ensure I have a bright future.
Now I’m in a loving foster home with plenty of toys, comfy beds, and delicious treats. I’m starting to discover my playful puppy side! I’m energetic, love to run around, and can be quite the little goofball. Each day is an adventure, and it feels wonderful to be loved.
I’m also making progress with potty training, wearing a belly band when I can’t be watched. I’ve only had two months of freedom, so I’m still learning. My foster parents say I’m doing great for a puppy! I’m learning to chew on appropriate things, though I might sneak a nibble on the kitchen rug or some mulch from the yard now and then.
At night, I settle down and sleep soundly, but as soon as the sun rises, I’m ready to tackle the day! I eat like there’s no tomorrow and embrace life to the fullest. I thrive in a home with a fenced yard where I can run freely, as being on a leash is quite restrictive for me. While I enjoy walks, a calm environment is best for my timid nature, and I would flourish with a gentle, playful small dog to accompany me.
