Welcome Lilly to Yorkie Haven Rescue! – November 11, 2025

Please join us in welcoming Lilly, an adorable little girl who is all puppy! She loves attention, playing with toys, trying to get her furry friends to join in the fun, and snuggling next to you at night in bed. Lilly isn’t shy about letting you know when she wants something — she may bark to get your attention. We’re working on helping her understand when barking is necessary and when it’s not.

Lilly is curious and playful, which has led her to take things that aren’t hers—like slippers, paper, or any dropped item. She’s learning to drop things for you, but at first, she tends to see it as a game. She also loves to jump on anything within reach or crawl on low shelves, so she’ll need some guidance with boundaries and learning what’s okay.

She adores going outside and will eagerly run out the door. While she can be a tad timid around new people, she warms up quickly once she gets to know you and will seek your attention. She has occasionally snapped out of fear, but with patience and gentle introductions, she’s been improving — especially after her recent visits to the vet. With continued socialization and training, she’ll become more confident around strangers.

Lilly has been diagnosed with Ehrlichia canis, a tick-borne disease, but she’s currently on antibiotics to clear it up. She’s doing well and responds nicely to her medication.

Lilly is a sweet girl who needs a caring family to nurture her confidence and help her learn the ropes. She’s ready to find a place where she can grow, love, and be loved in return.
